What are Utopia Experiences

Utopia is an idea, born out of necessity.

To create a space where connections form, preservation of our culture, building community and creating experiences which spark joy, curiosity and lasting memories.

How will I get there from Ukunda?

Transport will be provided from Diani to Shirazi. This is included in your ticket. 1 ticket=1 seat on the Utopia Bus

What is a Culture Pool Fest?

This is a culmination of the ultimate experience. You get to chill by the pool (or in the pool-your choice:), have drinks, enjoy good food, music from the live band and DJs.

We will also have vendor booths that you can interact with and support local businesses. Henna application by our artists. Art installations

The big highlight will be the Mwazindika and Maasai performances at sunset.

Additionally, at an extra cost of 1000bob, there will be an unforgettable boat ride to the Funzi Island Sandbank. To RSVP for Funzi Sandbank experience please contact Kanazi (0718157757)

What time does it start and end?

Bus leaves Ukunda for Shirazi (20kms away) at 10:30am.

To return to Ukunda, there will be a bus that leaves at 7pm, 10pm and 2am. You can decide your preferred exit time.

How do I purchase a ticket

Early Bird: Ksh1500 (closes 8th December 2025)

Regular: Ksh2500

Late-Comer: Ksh3000 (2 days before the event and @ the gate)

Can I camp there?

Yes, Paradise Lost, Heritage House in Shirazi offers beautiful grounds for pitching your own tent. They also offer amenities like toilets and showers on the property. You will need to bring your own tent and camping supplies.

Are food and drinks free?

To support local businesses and vendors, food and drink is not included in the ticket cost.

When will the next event be?

We plan to have a Utopia experience every quarter in a year. That means once every 3 months.
